10 AMAZING Lipsticks Under 10 Dollars

Hey everyone! If you know me at all, then you would know that one of my favorite makeup products is lipstick. I love being able to change up my look with a bold lip, or wear a nude lip to accentuate a bold eye look. I have so many lipsticks that my drawers are overflowing! One thing that is hard is finding quality lipsticks that are an affordable price. As a college student, I want to inform other people who may be on a budget of quality products that they can try that won’t break the bank!

Here are my top 10 favorite Lipsticks under $10!

  1. Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink– $5.50
  2. NYX Lip Lingerie in Ruffle Trim-$7.00
  3. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in Shade 08– $5.99
  4. NYX Lip Lingerie in Exotic-$4.89
  5. Colourpop Liquid Lipstick in Sunday-$6.50
  6. Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick in Give Me Mocha-$2.59
  7. Burt Bee’s Lipstick in Nude Mist -$9.00
  8. Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Allure-$9.00
  9. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Cannes-$4.54
  10. ELF Moisturizing Lipstick in Crazy Cranberry-$3.00

This list features a variety of formulas and brands that I have discovered over my years of loving makeup. Overall, I prefer a matte finish, as you may be able to tell from the list, but I also have days where I want a satin or glossy finish! (Side note: while not necessarily as affordable as the lip products on this list, I just got the Fenty Gloss Bomb and it’s my current favorite glossy lip product if you want to check it out!)

While I do love myself some high-end lipsticks from Sephora, I love finding products of equal quality for an affordable price. Thank you all for reading! Let me know some of your favorite affordable lipsticks in the comments below!

Products I Have Repurchased

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to talk about some products that I have repurchased. I think that these types of posts are such a good indicators on the quality and performance of a product, as it shows that someone liked it enough to buy it again rather than try something new! It gives some insight on people’s favorites.

It Cosmetics CC Cream

Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+

This is hands down my favorite “foundation” product I’ve ever tried. I put foundation in quotes as this is technically considered a CC cream and is supposed to have lighter coverage. While it does feel super light on the skin I feel as though the coverage is above and beyond what a CC cream is expected to do. It makes my face looks flawless without feeling like I have a ton of makeup on. I have tried so many other products trying to find something like this at a cheaper price, but I eventually just ended up repurchasing it because nothing does the job quite like this product.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder

I have mentioned this on my blog before and it’s because it’s that good. I have used this powder since the early high school days and it has always been a staple for me. I know that it is a reliable powder that will keep any oil at bay. Like the name suggests, it keeps me matte for a long time and is the perfect powder to set a foundation or concealer with. I have probably purchased 100 of these over the years. I know that is a quality product for a very affordable price. I usually get it at target for a little under $4. *I always buy the shade “Translucent.”*

NYX Matte Liquid Liner

This is another product in which I have been using since high school. I probably can single-handedly keep the NYX company in business with how many of these I have purchased/ will continue to purchase. It is the perfect eyeliner, and for someone who does wings almost on a daily basis, I love to have a thin brush so I can be as precise  and sharp with my liner as possible! I also love the matte finish it leaves, as I’m not someone who likes a glossy eyeliner look. This product makes my liner look clean, and it never smudges.

Thank you guys for reading. I hope you got some insight on products that may be worth your money! These are just a handful of my favorite repurchases. What are some of your staple products you have repurchased? Let me know in the comments below!

The BEST Eyeshadow Palettes You’ll Ever Try

Hey everyone! This past week I have been putting some extra time into my normal makeup for class, and I’ve been using my favorite makeup product: eyeshadow. Eyeshadow is so fun for me because it’s something, like lipstick, that I can vary day by day. I have so many palettes, therefore so many different shades, that are mostly in the neutral tones. They can be combined in millions of ways to create different looks, and the glitter and shimmer always add a pop to your look.

My top five favorite eyeshadow palettes:

1.MORPHE 35O – 35 COLOR NATURE GLOW EYESHADOW PALETTE- $23

This palette is absolutely amazing. It comes with colors, in various neutral shades, that are pigmented and blendable. This is my go-to palette when I’m doing makeup on other people, as it has a variety of different tones to work with, and you can find find colors that complement any skin tone. For the price, and amount of product, you can’t beat this palette!

2. Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette- $46

This is my all time favorite palette for when I want something simple. This contains all matte shades, that are all soft, neutral brown and purple tones. I highly recommend this palette!

3. Pur x Boxycharm Eyeshadow Palette-$36

This the newest palette I have purchased. It came in the March BoxyCharm box and is a collaboration with the brand Pur.. It’s amazing! It has a perfect mix of matte and shimmer shades. The glitter shades in this palette are some of my favorites, as they’re extremely pigmented and creamy. I also love the colors in here, as they are perfect for stepping out of these everyday neutral tones without going too overboard. That blue color is amazing for under the lash line for a pop of color!

4. Two Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette- $49

Sweet Peach Eye Palette

I’ve mentioned this palette in my blog before, which goes to show that this is a palette very loved by me. I use this frequently, and can easily use the colors to create a fast look, as I’m very familiar with the shades and always use this as kind of a default look when I’m not sure what to wear in the morning! The colors are beautiful and the palette smells like peaches!

5.Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance-$42

Anastasia has some of my favorite eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. I’ve never used a brand with a more creamy/blendable formula. This particular palette is gorgeous and has reddish tones, with some neutral colors thrown in as well. I love this for a more dramatic look, but it is also versatile, as I can use some of the brown shades to create a more everyday look. It also comes with an amazing brush that’s super soft!

As someone who has tried various different eyeshadow palettes, I thought it may be useful for someone who does not know a lot about makeup to see what I have narrowed down as the Top 5 best eyeshadow palettes. If you do know makeup, maybe this list will include some you haven’t tried before, and you can let me know ones that I don’t include, so I can try some more out!

My Current Makeup Favorites!

Happy March! Finally closer to springtime and sunshine (hopefully, you never know with New England weather)!

For this week’s post, I thought it would be fun to talk about all the makeup products I’ve been loving recently.

From eyes, to face, to lips, I’ve been finding myself reaching for the same products in my collection recently, and loving using what I have (even though I am very temped to go out an purchase all the new makeup coming out).

Eyes

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette: I purchased this a few months back, and I’ve already hit the pan on a few of the shades in here! While being simple and neutral enough for everyday wear, I love the peachy tones to add a little pop to my eyes. The pigmentation of this is also incredible!

IT COSMETICS Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil: I received this product in my January BoxyCharm box and I love it! I was skeptical of it initially because it is marketed as a product that is “universal” and would work for those of all hair colors. As someone with light blonde hair, I was concerned how this was supposed to work for me, if it would also work for someone with dark brown hair, for example. To my surprise and delight, by applying it with light pressure it actual does work! It is amazing and it stays in place all day.

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black: I had heard of this product on a YouTube tutorial I was watching, and I decided to try it out, and I love the length it gives to my lashes!

Face

Tarte Blush Bazaar: This palette includes 8 GORGEOUS blush shades, and two highlighters that are some of the most pigmented products I have ever used on my face. Unlike other blushes I’ve used, these actually stay on my face too!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: This powder has been a favorite of mine for years. I’ve spent a lot of money on other powders that just don’t work as well, and keep me as oily-free as this one does. For $3.99 at Target- you can’t beat it!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (shade 15 Fair): Just like the Rimmel Powder, this has been a favorite of mine for so long, and I’ve repurchased this countless times. While I have had higher coverage concealers, this does the job (and pretty well, at that) for a drug store concealer.

Lips

hrekflkkwqenf

Ciate Liquid Velvet Lipstick in Bitter Sweet: I got this lipstick this past Christmas and I absolutely love it! It is a nice twist on a neutral shade, as it has a nice grey-ish tone to it.

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Exotic: This is my go-to for when I want a neutral red shade. It’s not too bright, so it doesn’t look too harsh on me, and is still nice for daily wear.

Overall, these products have been such staples for me. I have been trying to avoid spending money at Sephora and Ulta, so using stuff I already have isn’t hard to do when the products are as great as these!
